The Joys of pre teenage drama

My daughter has this friend that does not have any parents. Long story short, she is being raised by her older sister. I can only imagine what this child feels on a daily basis. However her behavior is just atrocious. She has in past texted Zoe's friends saying that Zoe hates them or that Zoe thinks they are ugly. For one reason or another we worked past all that. Now, comes new drama into the arena. She logged onto Zoe's facebook and told another one of Zoe's friends via chat that they were a loser. Thank goodness the girl was smart enough to realize that it was not Zoe. She quickly called Zoe and came running over (she lives right across the street). Now I try to find humor on a daily basis here. However, this time I cannot find any and find myself very angry at this girl. Despite her issues, respecting personal boundaries and friendship is extremely important. She seems to not be able to do either. She is on Zoe's cheering squad so I have instructed Zoe to not bring drama onto the mat. That she is to be civil at practice, and no longer hang out with her at home. I have no idea what to expect at this point from this girl, other than she cannot be trusted at all, and that her sister who is ten years younger than me has her work cut out for her.

Roid rage of a 10 year old

Medical science just amazes me. As I sit here waiting for the pediatrician to call me back on how to handle the next step of Sebastian's asthma/pneumonia issue, I wonder...why roid rage for a 10 year old? I mean, yes anger and hunger are a side effect and trust me my fridge is looking leaner by the second, but with all of the improvements over time with medicine could they not offset roid rage? The meds are ready to go through his skin he is taking so much. Somewhere science has to be smart enough to help these kids!

The reason why take out was invented

I am pretty sure was not to make life easier for everyone. I think it was for me. Well, not me specifically but mothers like me. You see the twins are both sick, Zoe with an ear infection and Sebastian with pneumonia and seeing as my husband is in the ER with pneumonia and pretty sure he is going to be admitted I am leaning towards take out for this evening. I am working until 430. Laundry is done, vacuuming is done, I need to clean the pellet stove, fold laundry, make sure animals are taken care of, and of course plan dinner. So I want to thank the woman who invented the idea of take out. After all, it had to be a woman who would attempt to make life easier.

The first post

So let's jump off the bridge right? A good friend of mine said to me recently, really Rebecca you need to start blogging. Your life is hysterical. Write it down and see what happens. So Kelsey, I am listening to your advice and going to see how this goes. I say I never have time, but really 10 minutes a day?? I just need to bookmark my own blog. Yes I did just say that. If I bookmark myself I might actually remember to find myself. That in a nutshell folks, is my life. Welcome to it!
